Pre-delivery Preparation PDP Services

The Centralized Configuration Services Group provides a full suite of hardware/software integration, imaging, configuration, and project management services across a range of technology products. SMA’s Project Tracking Web Tool enables our customers to review and confirm up to the minute order status 24/7.

Hardware Integration and Imaging Service:

SMA’s Centralized Configuration Team can provide support for all hardware integration requirements across a variety of technology products and manufacturers. SMA’s server-based software distribution system allows for a maximum 1728 configured systems daily. In addition, SMA can assist your project team in the creation of master gold disk images, whether the image is installed centrally or in the field.

Product Fulfillment Services:

Product deployments often require additional customization and configuration services in addition to more standardized imaging and integration services. SMA can support all such configuration requirements, either in conjunction with other services or on a stand-alone basis. Product fulfillment services include the configuration of Network IP addresses for desktop and laptop computers, personalization of settings for Point of Sale devices, and the configuration of network parameters within routing and switching products.

Depot Maintenance & Hot Swap:

At SMA, we can provide Depot Maintenance Services for a full range of desktop computers, servers and peripheral equipment. This competency also includes the ability to provide “hot swap” capabilities where your engagements require the maintenance and support of spare parts for your clients. Weekend “hot sparing” is also available under special agreements.

End of Life Cycle Management
Asset Refurbishment:

Equipment that is to be redeployed shall be refurbished, which includes testing the equipment’s general functionality, cleaning and removing all labels and installation of the required operating system software.
Equipment that meets the redeployment criteria shall be held in inventory until a request is made for it’s delivery then it will be staged, tested and redeployed.
Customers receive electronic notification and a request for approval to proceed on equipment requiring repair.

Disposition:

End of life cycle disposition services includes transportation, recycling of LCD, recycling of CRT, recycling of UPS, and recycling of nonreusable printers.
Management fee includes production of Destruction Certificates and EPA Audit Reports.
